Name: Acies 'The Hurricane' Valdun (Aye-seas Vall-dune)
Race: Human
Age: Early twenties
Sign: Aquarius
Sex: Definitely male
Eye Color: Cloudy Grey
Hair Color: Black
Height: Four foot eleven
Weight: Eighty-nine pounds nude, one-hundred and four when fully equipped
Skin Tone: Pale, usually slightly dirty
Nationality: Northerner
Physical Description: Acies is smaller than most in his trade, born a runt and frail by nature. Along with this he is a very bony individual, making him seem exceptionally weak and sickly to the rare few who catch a glimpse of him when he isn't 'decent'. Despite his less than healthy appearance, Acies doesn't suffer from any diseases and feels no ill effects from being so light, aside from being easy to pick up (To his irritation). The most often noticed of his traits were his eyes, which were a light, cloudy grey color that possibly hinted at poor eyesight.
The hair atop his skull was coal black, and provided a nice contrast to his light skin. It had a shaggy, wild look to it most of the time, as if he didn't take good care of it. A few daring bangs fell into his face, though they were hardly long enough to even partially obscure his vision. When he was younger the back of his hair had been much longer than the front, reaching down just below his shoulder blades when it wasn't bound up. But, in a real fight long hair was simply a burden, which was reason enough for Acies to hack it off. Now it didn't even conceal the back of his neck.
Acies was hard pressed to keep a single outfit intact for long, and because of this is usually dressed in rags and tattered clothing. Around his small form he usually wore a large dusty brown cloak that would wrap around to his front and conceal most of his upper body when he stood still, making it hard to see any small actions he took. Said cloak stopped around his knees, allowing him to draw his weapons or retrieve something from a pouch without drawing much attention to himself.
Notable Scars, Tattoos, Markings/Features: While Acies has many small scars, most of them are concealed by his clothing.
Skills: Acies is a skilled pickpocket and has mediocre lock picking skills, though he is slow to resort to them. A talented actor when needed, and (Unknown to most) he is exceptionally good at bird calls.
Specific Power(s): None, as of yet
Weapon(s): Gewitter and Briese(Both daggers), a small array of throwing knives. Small knife in his left boot.
Special Equipment: A bloodstained cloth headband that is usually wrapped around his right wrist twice, the broken off head of some staff with a amethyst at the head, a few silver rings on a black leather cord around his neck.
Personality: Most are a little surprised by Acies' nature, not expecting such a happy and carefree personality out of a professional mercenary. In most situations he maintains a very positive outlook on things, along with having a generally happy attitude. Simply put, he enjoys life a great deal. Around most people he is unusually friendly, enjoying interacting with people a great deal. Most people consider him their friend rather quickly because of this, though he himself is slow to give that title to anyone.
He has sort of a loner complex in most things, preferring not to talk too much about himself or grow too close to anybody near him. A lot of people would attribute this to his career, though the real reason is much more than that. Should you ever earn his full trust or friendship, the sellsword would fight to the Abyss and beyond for you.
History: For a man so young, Acies has done a remarkable amount of things in his short life. Up until he reached the age of manhood, he lived a fairly simple life as the son of a blacksmith. He had many friends, three of which decided to take up 'adventuring', which Acies accompanied them on. They traveled together for a few years, not doing much actual adventuring outside of a few rough encounters. Eventually the group split up, his friends deciding that hunting wild creatures wasn't as fun or as glorious as they had hoped.
While his friends simply traveled home, Acies remained on the road. When he had left there had been many angry words between him and his father, and he didn't feel like heading back to deal with it just yet. So he continued to travel, taking odd jobs where people needed an extra hand... Or blade. There were times that he simply couldn't find any work, which led to the slow development of his thieving skills. It was rough learning to begin with, and he often found himself in jail(Which was actually quite welcome, as it got him fed and out of the cold come winter). In fact, in a particular town in the Northern lands he knows the names of all the guards that run the jail, and the names of their families as well.
Eventually his travels led him to the Northeast, where he came across a wounded man collapsed in the middle of the road. Night was falling fast, and he couldn't bring himself to leave the man there to die. It was pitch black outside when they made it to the nearest town, and Acies had to spend the last of his money on a room and some medical supplies to help the traveler. Worried about the wounded traveler, Acies took up a job helping the innkeeper to pay for a room and earn them meals. When the traveler was finally well again, he expressed great gratitude to Acies, offering to repay him for his efforts.
The man introduced himself as Shay Blackbright, a mercenary going by the name 'The Hurricane', a name that Acies recognized immediately. For the past two hundred years there had always been a mercenary calling himself 'The Hurricane', a warrior of great skill who fought with two daggers that seemed to cut through armor and flesh like it were butter. Shay explained that 'The Hurricane' wasn't a single man, it was a title. The first man to call himself that started the tradition by training somebody to replace him when he retired, handing his knives down to his students to keep the name going.
His recent brush with death had caused Shay to decide it was time to retire, having already been 'The Hurricane' for twenty-seven years now. And, to repay Acies for his kindness, he offered to take him on as a student... An offer the young man gladly accepted. To this day Acies continues working as a sellsword under the name 'The Hurricane', enjoying the fame the name has to offer and seeing as much of the world as he can.
Anything Else: Acies' title, 'The Hurricane', makes him quite famous. Most sellswords and people who deal with them frequently would know the name, though outside of that circle he is not too renown. There are a few impostors running about, but due to his possession of Gewitter and Briese he can easily prove himself as the the real deal.
