Physical Description:
Her human appearance is that of a slightly muscular young woman with jet-black hair that falls in loose curls around her waist. Her eyes are a light blue, the color of a clear afternoon sky. She has very delicate facial features and is overall quite lovely. She wears a pair of tight fitting pants that are a deep azure in color with black, leather boots that reach up to her knee. Her shirt is black and slightly fitted with long sleeves that flare out from the elbow, the neck is open and loose though there are laces to lace it up. She wears a short, silver necklace that is made up of blue sapphire, blue topaz and aquamarine gems. There is a larger sapphire at the center with a strange rune etched in silver on it. Her hands and feet are small and dainty. Her curves are quite feminine.
Notable Scars, Tattoos, Markings/Features:
There are strange black symbols that look like tattoos on each of her shoulder blades though others rarely see them as her back is not exposed.
Skills:
As an air elemental Symph naturally possesses the ability to fly and to command the wind (but only to an extent – she controls wind, not weather). She is quite adept with a rapier and is also quite skillful with a bow (she rarely misses her mark seeing as she can control the wind).
Specific Power(s):
Symph’s specific powers revolve around her ability to control the wind.
Razor Storm: A strong spell that hurls several “razors” of wind at the target, a spell that is nearly impossible to dodge. It can also be used to cut things down or create holes/openings in some materials. (i.e. cannot break through stone or an iron door).
Summon Whirlwind: A spell that summons a small, concentrated whirlwind that can range from 4’ to 7’ in height. It has a strong pull and can quickly suck up any nearby items/debris that are not secured. It can be used to move objects or create a pathway (i.e. through tall grass, sometimes through water). If used during battle it is more useful as a distraction rather than an attack.
Sonic Twister: Similar to Summon Whirlwind but with the capability of building up enough pressure to create a grand explosion. Strong enough to blow up a small dwelling. Usually leaves a small crater in its wake. Capable of throwing anyone/thing near it quite some distance. A useful escape tactic.
Bluster: A spell used to create massive air pressure. Capable of pinning an object or person to the ground or against something and renders them immobile.
Summon Arrow: Ability to create an “arrow” out of wind and air pressure. Similar to Razor Storm but only using one “razor” as an arrow so to speak.
Weapon(s):
A rapier. It is a long, thin blade with an ornate, wire-looped handle (think fencing ^_^). It has a bone (white) hilt. She also sometimes carries a standard longbow.
Special Equipment:
Symph’s necklace is a family heirloom that naturally enhances one’s ability to control the wind. This helps her greatly seeing as she is still young and cannot always get the wind to do what she would like it to.
Personality:
Symph has been exposed to a variety of people throughout her life and thus has a very mixed personality. In general she is very easy-going and rather cheerful, but there are many times when she can become irregularly stubborn or moody. Her temper is shorter than most sylphs, however it is fleeting and she is her cheerful self once again in no time. Her curiosity is strong, especially when it comes to new people.
History:
Much of Symph’s history is unknown. She slips tidbits here and there, but overall she doesn’t seem inclined to share her past with anyone. It is known that she was raised on the eastern coast not far from the Sylphs’ homeland, Zephria. However she rarely speaks of Zephria and instead talks about growing up in a small city called Estinon.
Symph speaks of a woman named Quistu that many assume is her mother. She also often refers to a “horrible salamander boy.”
Symph generally leaves out her past when speaking of herself, but mentions having left Estinon at a young age to avoid “something terrible” and has since made a living as a mercenary of sorts. She currently lives in a city called Kellinir where she makes most of her living offering safe escort from Kellenir to the capital city of Illirion. She also works part-time in a tailoring shop.
The sylph has made a number of other journeys and been on a few adventures, but she generally stays near Kellenir as she enjoys the hustle and bustle of human city-life.
Anything Else:
Symph is quite familiar with water elemental magic. When asked she will only say she learned it to “teach that horrible salamander boy a lesson.”
