Wuddleskulls:
Location: Wuggynit (Water Region/Northern Realm)
Status: Common
Appearance: Wuddleskulls are small creatures that look very much like oversized pugs or bulldogs that stand on their back two feet and over their head they wear a large skull helmet that is usually obtained during their coming of age rituals. They are wrinkly and have faces that look a little “smushed” in (which you will see their faces rarely since they don’t normally take the skulls off). Wuddleskulls are usually around 3’-4’ feet in height and carry around clubs or cudgels for weapons.
Personality: Wuddleskulls can be a little vicious and are very territorial. But once they know you are not trying to invade their home they can be very friendly, albeit a little weird. Their personalities are a bit dog-like as well in that they growl, wag their tails, sometimes bark etc…
History Wuddleskulls have been around about as long as the Paambo.
Wuggynit is a large tribe of wuddleskulls in the Water Region. There are thousands of them that live in the woods scattered throughout the area but they are all considered one large community. They can speak the common tongue, but it comes out a little haltingly.
During their coming of age ritual, a wuddleskull is sent out into the wilderness alone, with nothing but a club or cudgel to hunt down a larger creature. From this creature they obtain the skull they will wear for the rest of their lives. If a wuddleskull fails during this ritual, but isn’t killed by the creatures they attempted to hunt, they are forced into exile and never allowed to return home. Rarely does a wuddleskull give up though, and most return with their treasured new helmet.
Abilities:
Wuddleskulls rely on their sheer number and bashing skills for offense. They are also very agile and can become quite ‘pesky’ in their attacks, being hard to catch.
“Wuddleskull bash you!”
Other Facts:
Wuddleskulls that do set out on adventures away from the Northern Region have a tendency to find a companion they latch onto and become faithful comrades with. Once they are bonded to someone, they are extremely loyal and generally stay with them for the rest of their lives.
