Alright... The task of making the Elves has fallen to me, so I'm going to shape things up a bit. Though, looking over the post called Elves in general, I realezed that many of my ideas conflicted with the things already set in place. The solution? Toss out Jan's stuff like old garbage! -Chuckles- With her permission, of course. So... I'm going to put up how the elves I make will be handled. If you want other Elves to follow these rules, go nuts. If not... Make up some of your own!
I'll probably pull stuff from the other post, keeping what I like and redoing what I don't.
Elves
HISTORY:
Elves are part of the second race, like the Little Folk, made by the four gods and goddesses of the elements birthed from Night and Day. They live very long lives, but are not immortal and do age in time, and pass away from old age when they are weathered. They have seen much time pass through the lands, but have not been there since creation.
When they were first created the Elves were all remarkably bland and oddly plain, sporting fair skin and having a tendancy to have brown hair and green eyes. They were of slight stature, and even the males were not very physically fit. However, were you to look for an elf of such description to this day you would only be met with confusion and odd stares.
Long ago the Elves had a large argument over where the race would reside and which Gods they would follow, among other things. They almost naturally blended into three seperate factions without any assistance, and were on the verge of civil war before they made the descision to simply split apart and become seperate groups, their only connection being common ancestry. These three groups turned into the varieties of elves that roam the planet to this day... Snow, Marsh, and Dusk elves.
APPEARANCE:
To try and name the appearance of elves in general is a very difficult thing to do, with how much each race has adapted to their surroundings, along with simple evolution. There are still a few common traits all elves have, however, and they are fairly easy to spot. The most noticeable of these traits would obviously be the ears, much longer and point than simple human ears.
Elves in general are often thought of as better looking, possesing soft and delicate features, though it could mainly be attributed to their eyes. All creatures of elvish descent have larger and much more vibrant eyes than the other races. As a result of being larger, it is also much easier to read emotion in them, causing Elves to have a difficult time hiding their true feelings most times.
INNATE SKILLS/ABILITIES:
NOTE: There are different innate skills and abilities for each clan of elves, so they are listed under their respective clan.
SPECIAL TRAITS
Each clan has gained different innate abilities over the years, though few of which can truly be considered magical. As a whole Elves aren't that adept in magic, and very few of them make successful mages.
